The Northern Cape Consumer Protection Authority, together with the South African Police Service, Department of Home Affairs, Kai !Garib Local Municipality, ZF Mgcawu District Municipality officials and local councillors conducted joint compliance inspections in Kakamas. Three supermarkets were closed for operating without valid trading licences and other failing to meet health standards.
