Compliance Operation in Keimoes Yields Result

Today, the Northern Cape Consumer Protection Authority, together with key stakeholders including the South African Police Service, Department of Home Affairs Immigration Officials, Kai !Garib Local Municipality LED officials, Councillors, ZF Mgcawu District Environmental Health Practitioners and the Northern Cape Gambling and Liqour Board conducted a joint compliance operation in Keimoes to ensure that local businesses comply with trading regulations.

During the operation, three tuckshops were closed for operating without valid trading licences and failing to meet health standards. These interventions form part of ongoing efforts to protect consumers, promote fair trading practices, and ensure that businesses operate within the law.

We urge all business owners to comply with trading regulations and obtain the necessary licences to avoid disruptions to their operations.
