The second day of the Northern Cape SALGA Women’s Commission started with a panel discussion on gender transformation in a so-called male dominated sector. Questions were thrown during this discussion which solicited clarity on reference to the sector as male dominated at this day and age, which probed drastic decisions and proposals to change the situation. A total of four panel discussions, with robust engagements took place between yesterday and this morning which covered a vast range of topics such as overcoming challenges in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, issues of community safety, gender-based violence and femicide as well as an inclusive society.
