The deadline for the reprogramming of the Prepaid electricity meters in South Africa is the 24th of November 2024.
Customers are urged to ensure that their meters are recoded by 24th of November 2024, failure to do so will result in you not being able to load electricity from Monday.

You can verify whether your meter is updated by entering the following code and press enter:
1844 6744 0738 4377 2416

If it shows 1 or 1.2 your meter needs to be recoded and if it shows 2 or 2.2 your meter is already updated and requires no further action.

*Remember: It is extremely urgent that you make sure your prepaid meter is updated to avoid losing power supply.*
